Current WMA rules and seasons

Deer, turkey, and waterfowl hunts require the applicable WMA license and hunting license. Waterfowl also requires current HIP and any required state and federal stamps.

An area permit and daily permit are required unless you use Outdoor Alabama's WMA Check-In application. Area-specific seasons, bag limits, zones, and exceptions vary.

Antlered bucks must have at least three antler points (1 inch or longer) on at least one main beam.
All deer harvested on the permit's listed dates must be submitted at the check station for data collection; hunt results must also be recorded through the Outdoor Alabama App or Daily Permit.
