Permit: Hunting license (an annual hunting license is required for nonresidents to hunt game and furbearers), released quail permit (if releasing northern bobwhite), migratory bird permit (if hunting migratory birds), state waterfowl permit and federal duck stamp (if hunting waterfowl), and bear harvest permit (if hunting bears).
1. Hunting with centerfire rifles is allowed. 2. Hunting wild hog with dogs is prohibited, except during daylight hours in the Dog Hunt Area. 3. Northern bobwhite may be released and taken by centerfire or muzzleloading shotgun, provided each individual or group participating possesses a daily released quail permit and proof (including the name and address of the vendor and date of purchase) that the northern bobwhite were purchased within the past 90 days from a game farm licensed by the Commission or another state (no exemptions). Northern bobwhite may be released only in that portion of the area east of the Apalachicola River, east of the East River, north of Sam’s Creek Cutoff, and west of East Bay. 5. Rabbits may be hunted with dogs year round, except during the spring turkey season (March 12–15 and March 20–April 25). 6. Taking bear with the aid of dogs is prohibited.
